At the Arbors, we believe that recovery can be fun, and we sometimes have to learn to have fun again without the use of substances—with new communities. We balance the fun with accountability in our community and hold one another accountable for our actions.
Our sober living program is highly structured, and residents are expected to adhere to the expectations of the community, including house rules, curfew, attending outside meetings and seeking the support of outpatient treatment, when necessary.
One of the keys to success in recovery is the development of life skills. While at The Arbors, you’ll identify areas that need support and our staff will help guide you in the development of these skills. We help residents find jobs, create resumes, create daily schedules, learn to cook, learn to communicate with others and deal with conflict.
Residents are expected to participate in house and community activities that aid in the recovery process, including Beach outings, BBQs, drumming, yoga, and other physical or social activities.
At the Arbors, we welcome people from all communities, of all gender expressions and identities, sexual orientation and preferences. We are located in one of the largest, most inclusive communities for members of the LGBTQ community and our staff truly understand your specific needs.
The Arbors is an inclusive sober living and we are unique in our embrace of MAT for clients who need it. Our community welcomes residents who may need the support of medication at this stage of their journey.
The Arbors also welcomes pets in our sober living homes, subject to an assessment of the animal—based on pets currently at the house, size of the animal, allergies of residents—and a one-time pet deposit.
